Life could be this beautiful without NBC-TV in it.

As the clock continues to tick since Glen A. Larson's latest claim of intending to make a "Galactica" continuation movie, it is becoming unsurprisingly apparent that Larson (ONCE AGAIN) was full of hot air. History proves again and again, that when Glen A. Larson opens his mouth and announces plans, NOTHING HAPPENS. At this point in time, it is not hard to deduce that Glen A. Larson simply does not have the CLOUT in Hollywood to make his dreams come true. Oh yes, he may own the theatrical rights to "Battlestar Galactica", but those rights are meaningless if you don't have the money and the movie making facilities to turn those "rights" into a theater going experience.
It isn't enough that Glen A. Larson owns the theatrical rights to "Battlestar Galactica." He must also have investors in place, his own financial reserves on stand-by to absorb any unforeseen expenses that may occur doing shooting, such as going over budget or going over schedule. (Just ask Alexander and Illya Salkind about what happened to them during the filming of "Superman-The Movie." They ran out of money during shooting, so Warner Brothers stepped in and bought the movie right out from under their feet.) Larson must also have studio facilities in place to actually film the damn thing. If Glen Larson even has any of these things in place, he sure is doing a damn good job of keeping it a secret from the media and the Internet.
I don't know what Glen A. Larson's problem is, but the man should just retire. If a producer reaches the point in his career where he can no longer make any projects he wants to make, simply because he no longer has the CLOUT to do so, then he should simply retire. I've picked on Glen Larson alot over the years, but I would like to thank Larson for making some of the most entertaining "genre" shows ever seen on television. Though the argument can be made that Leslie Stevens actually came up with the concept for "Battlestar Galactica", it was Glen Larson's CLOUT in the industry back in 1978 that got the damn thing before the cameras at all. For this, I do owe Glen A. Larson a big THANK YOU. Glen Larson's take on "Buck Rogers" remains to this day, delightful, over the top, campy, and just plain fun. Glen Larson also DID INDEED have an unbelievable talent for assembling the best damn production crews in the business to work on his shows. No outer space shows before or since have demonstrated the staggering imagination seen in "Battlestar Galactica" and "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century." From production design, to wardrobe, to optical effects, to musical score; Glen Larson saw to it that only the best people in the industry worked on his shows. "Galactica" and "Buck Rogers" also (to this day) contain the most IMAGINATIVE spacecraft designs ever seen. The "Galactica" and the "Draconia" remain on screen ICONS to this day. I was also one of the few viewers who watched both "Automan" and "Manimal" in the early 1980's and enjoyed both of those shows as well.
Glen, it's time to retire. Give up the dream of making a "Galactica" continuation movie. Tell you what. Make something happen for me. Do a "Double Feature" DVD release of "Manimal" and "Automan." "Automan" and "Manimal" in one DVD box set. Do this simple thing, and I'll forget about you promising to make a "Galactica" continuation movie. Not only that, I'll never pick on you again. I won't even expect any "extras" in the DVD box set. Maybe just an insert booklet describing both shows.
GLEN, MAKE IT HAPPEN!!
