Life could be this beautiful without NBC-TV in it.

Ronald D. Moore must believe that if a little destruction is good, even more should be better. Perhaps this has been the infrastructure of his entire career.
According to www.syfyportal.com, Moore is busy preparing a series bible for a possible continuation based on his mini series that everyone actually hated, the mini series that didn't do anywhere near what Sci-Fi Channel claimed it did, the mini series that didn't even rank in the top 20 of all cable shows, and the mini series that has a fan magazine with no fans to buy it.
Sci-Fi Channel would be ecstatic over any of their shows that yielded a 1.1 rating. What did the mini series bring in? A 0.000? Throw in a little "Spin Doctoring" from the Sci-Fi Channel publicity machine, and Ron Moore's "Scrotum Sack" of a production has the appearance of being the number 1 show of all time.
Ronald D. Moore has to hang out somewhere. It might as well be at the one cable station where his buddy, Michael Piller works. Of course, announcing to the world that you work for Sci-Fi Channel is hardly a mark of prestige. In the ranking of cable channels, it's safe to say that Sci-Fi Channel comes in dead last, way behind "Animal Planet" in both ratings achievements and class.
Why did Ronald D. Moore abandon the "Carnivale" project at HBO in favor of concentrating on the further DESTRUCTION his mini series can offer? It's because Michael Piller is not at HBO, and Moore always sticks close to his buddies. By making Sci-Fi Channel his home, the assistance (political pressure of Michael Piller on TPTB in Moore's behalf), is just a few cubicles away from Ronald D. Moore. Holding "Dead Zone" as a bargaining chip (if that is indeed what happened) can be very persuasive, can't it? Of course, it isn't politically correct to say such things, even in a hypothetical light, because the Hollywood political structure is now designed in such a way to frown upon such speculation as it brings to the surface those things in Hollywood which Hollywood wishes would remain buried. In short, if you are NAUGHTY in Hollywood, the political climate WILL PROTECT YOU.
The Curse Of Bonnie Hammer
Bonnie Hammer was the mastermind behind the Ron Moore mini series, just as she was the mastermind behind the worst examples of programming ever seen in cable television's history. "Scare Tactics" anyone? Bonnie Hammer is one of those television programmers who either refuses to go away, or straighten out her act, because she surrounds herself with colleagues too afraid to tell her what a programming NO TALENT she really is.
The Ron Moore mini series has proven that Bonnie Hammer is a refugee from the "Lifetime Network" who understands "Battlestar Galactica" about as much as she understands Science Fiction programming. It doesn't take alot of talent to DESTROY Leslie Steven's original concept for "Battlestar Galactica." Bonnie Hammer did this without even trying by LOBOTOMIZING "Battlestar Galactica" and turning it into a soap opera hybrid of "Space-Above & Beyond", "Species", "Terminator", and "J.A.G."
Ever since Bonnie Hammer has been the programmer for Sci-Fi Channel, what significant contribution has she made to this channel or the television landscape? NONE. Sci-Fi Channel remains a fledgling, "Wayne's World", basement cable station constantly being propped up by ridiculous ratings claims that are instantly refuted by doing weekly ratings checks on "Yahoo" or "Google."
www.Galactica2003.net claims that "televised Science Fiction was reinvented on December 8th, 2003." I wouldn't be so bold. The Ron Moore mini series which contained EVERY CLICHED REMNANT OF PRIOR SCIENCE FICTION PRODUCTIONS, came and went with as much fanfare as a rerun of "Epoch."
As we move into the new year, and the mini series fan magazine continues to collect dust in "Waldenbooks" stores across the country, this indication of the mini series TRUE FAILURE will continue to be DENIED by Bonnie Hammer, but physically evidenced by everyone who can see and think for themselves.
