Life could be this beautiful without NBC-TV in it.

This would make a great category on "Pyramid" wouldn't it? "She wears provocative clothing"....."She has a number as her name"....."She was designed to appeal to the male members of the audience going through puberty"....
If the contestant answered "Six" or "Seven of Nine", the contestant would be correct. The character of "Six" in Ron Moore's mini series has proven that Ronald D. Moore is long on derivativeness, and short on imagination. It also proved that the Sci-Fi Channel budget was so limited, they could not afford to rebuild the fabulous Cylon armor costumes from the "REAL 1978 GALACTICA" series. The easy way out for Sci-Fi Channel and Ronald D. Moore, was to make a "ROBO-SLUT" for the teenage boys in the audience. Is there an easier way to sell shampoo during a a 30 second commercial spot on the Sci-Fi Channel? NO!!
Getting back to Ronald D. Moore specifically (who I love to pick on by the way), why call this character "Six?" Why have a number as a name, JUST LIKE "SEVEN OF NINE?" Why not name the character "Sapphire", or "Bambi", or "Barbi" or "CHEAP TART?" Because the temptation was TOO GREAT for Ronald D. Moore to write a "SEVEN OF NINE" CLONE for his mini series, and then DENY ever having written a CLONE of "Seven Of Nine."
Ronald D. Moore is a member of the new breed of "CRAP SCRIPTWRITERS" currently ravaging Hollywood with lots of EGO and NO IMAGINATION. We'll probably be stuck with Ronald D. Moore for a good long while. If his "Crappy Ass Mini Series" doesn't get green lit for regular series production, (which, in Bonnie Hammer doggy years amounts to about two consecutive episodes before cancellation); Moore will probably bounce around "Nickoledeon" for awhile, or "Spike TV", or start his own "Wayne's World" basement cable station. Please Ron Moore!! Use Sci-Fi Channel as your inspiration!!
What Did The Mini Series Accomplish?
This is easy to answer. Sci-Fi Channel and Ron Moore gave Paramount Pictures Corp. their next sequel series to the "Star Trek" franchise. Wasn't that nice of Sci-Fi Channel and Ron Moore to do that? The next sequel series to "Star Trek" didn't cost Paramount Pictures a dime. If Paramount wants "Star Trek: Galactica" as their next sequel series to "Star Trek", all they have to do is take Universal Studios to court in order to force the surrender of ownership to them. Of course, it would have been nice if Universal/Sci-Fi Channel HAD ASKED Paramount Pictures beforehand if they could do a sequel series to "Star Trek", but HEY!! Universal/Sci-Fi Channel does not concern themselves with such mundane details.
With "Enterprise" tanking badly in the ratings, and Rick Berman's creative juices having long since run dry on fresh ideas for any new "Trek" series, Paramount Pictures might as well COMMANDEER "Star Trek: Galactica" as their next chapter in the "Star Trek" saga.
You really have to admire Universal/Sci-Fi Channel. They have taken the notion of "Professional Courtesy" to totally new heights. Perhaps noticing in the peripheral vision of their eye that Paramount was having some trouble with their "Star Trek" franchise, Universal/Sci-Fi Channel went ahead and made a sequel series for them to take the place of "Enterprise." Ronald D. Moore was even brought on board to make sure that "Star Trek: Galactica" retained that ever special "Star Trek" flavor. It was even nice of Universal/Sci-Fi Channel to create the little sister of "Seven of Nine" and call her "Six." Paramount Pictures Corp. has an early Christmas present this year thanks to Universal/Sci-Fi Channel. Thanks, Universal!!!
