Life could be this beautiful without NBC-TV in it.

In 1992, Paramount Pictures Corp. tried to revive the "Brady Bunch" in a series of two hour dramatic movies. Needless to say, the dramatic format didn't work for the "Brady Bunch" as it contradicted the basic core premise and format of what the "Brady Bunch" really was. A lighthearted, mindless sitcom. Critics TRASHED this CREEPY NEW FORMAT of the "Brady Bunch", contemptuously referring to it as "Brady Something", a takeoff on a one hour drama called "Thirty Something." This new format devised for the "Brady Bunch" had DISASTER written all over it. Some of the more ABSURD plot devices in these movies had Mike Brady (the dad) trapped in a mine shaft cave-in, with Carol (the Mom) singing Christmas carols outside of the mine shaft in the hopes that some "Christmas" miracle would deliver her husband back to her. Another one had Bobby Brady (the youngest boy) paralyzed from a racing car accident, and the typical scene of the family members huddled around his hospital bed balling their eyes out over fear that "Bobby" would never walk again.
The one good thing about this DISASTER OF A TELEVISION PRODUCTION, is that Sherwood Schwartz KNEW WHEN TO QUIT. He listened to the critics, the OUTRAGED "Brady Bunch" fans, and threw in the towel on this CREEPY ATTEMPT to turn the "Brady Bunch" into a hard hitting, prime time drama. This FIASCO only produced about two or three television movies, and that is a GOOD THING.
This brings me to RONALD D. MOORE and UNIVERSAL STUDIOS/SCI-FI CHANNEL. Giving Ronald D. Moore a license to ANNIHILATE and DESTROY (with Moore not knowing WHEN TO QUIT), Ronald D. Moore has tried to do something similar with "Battlestar Galactica." Ronald D. Moore has tried to turn "Battlestar Galactica" INTO SOMETHING THAT IT ISN'T. Not only that, but in the process of doing so, Ronald D. Moore has revealed himself to be a CREEPY & WEIRD GUY. Ron Moore's "Crappy Star: Galactica" production has revealed Ron Moore to be a CREEPY & WEIRD GUY in the following ways:
1) Ronald D. Moore has an obvious and DISGUSTING preoccupation with PORNOGRAPHIC SEXUALITY in his production.
2) Ronald D. Moore's perception of the world via the dysfunctional characters he created is as follows:
a) There is no such thing as normal families (THERE ARE). b) There is no such thing as a respectful military with subordinates treating superiors with respect. c) There is no such as miltary punishment for being "drunk on duty" and striking superior officers. 3) Like the ILL-FATED "Brady Bunch" dramatic movies that had NOTHING to do with the "Brady Bunch", Ronald D. Moore's CREEPY PRODUCTION has NOTHING to do with "Battlestar Galactica." Instead, it is an INTENSELY CREEPY and DISTURBED PRODUCTION written and produced by a guy who has alot of CREEPY THINGS going on in his THINKING that I don't want to know ANYTHING ABOUT.
4) Ronald D. Moore even grew his hair long IN A CREEPY WAY that perfectly, externally manifests the INTERNAL, CREEPY GUY that is Ronald D. Moore.
"Crappy Star: Galactica" is an ILL-CONCEIVED, CREEPY PRODUCTION thrown together by a really CREEPY guy. "Battlestar Galactica" NEVER GOT REVIVED in the process.
