Life could be this beautiful without NBC-TV in it.

The question was put forward at www.Cylon.org, "Would you as a fan want Ronald D. Moore doing a Galactica continuation if his current "Crap Fest" production ended?" My question is: "Why is this question even be asked?" Is there trouble in "Trekkie Star: Galactica" paradise? Did someone catch wind of Ron Moore's "CRAP FEST" being put out of its misery even before it reaches its airdate on Sci-Fi Channel? Is "Trekkie Star: Galactica" going to be BLESSED with a CANCELLATION ORDER? If it happens, I'll be getting my Christmas 2005 present EARLY THIS YEAR!!
More to the point about "Moore", would I want this guy tackling a continuation of the "REAL 1978 GALACTICA SERIES?" HELL NO!! Not after he revealed his CONTEMPT & HATRED for the "REAL 1978 GALACTICA SERIES." Not after he created a "STAR TREK SEQUEL SERIES" and attached the "Battlestar Galactica" brand name to it. Not after he has been on the Universal payroll all of this time and revealed himself to be even more of an ASSHOLE than the Universal executives themselves.
Some posters on www.Cylon.org stated that they wouldn't mind Ron Moore being on a continuation production, just as long as he wasn't in charge. That if Ron Moore was just a "Hired Hand Scriptwriter" on a continuation, they could accept that. I CAN'T.
I WOULDN'T WANT RONALD D. MOORE ANYWHERE NEAR A CONTINUATION PRODUCTION, NOT EVEN AS A CATERER OR EVEN AS A "PORT-A-POTTY" DELIVERY DRIVER.
Ronald D. Moore has proven (AMONG OTHER THINGS), that the VAST COLONIAL UNIVERSE of "Battlestar Galactica" is TOO MONUMENTAL for him to deal with both as a writer and as a producer. He PROVED this when he took this MONUMENTAL UNIVERSE in the 1978 series, and SCALED IT DOWN TO A "STAR TREK" STAGE PLAY. Something psychologically comfortable his LIMITED IMAGINATION COULD DEAL WITH. It was even the "Little Things" in the "REAL 1978 GALACTICA SERIES" that Ronald D. Moore found INCAPABLE of dealing with as writer. Personally, I LOVED the "Ovions" in the pilot episode of "Galactica." They were CREEPY, FUN, UNIQUE, and hell;.......YOU EVEN HAD TO HAVE A HAND HELD VERSION OF ME TO COMMUNICATE WITH THEM!! Ron Moore COULDN'T DEAL WITH THE "OVIONS" AS A WRITER, SO HE GOT RID OF THEM. This is the mark of a writer WITH NO IMAGINATION. An amphibious race called the "Hessaris" were being subjugated by the Cylons, RON MOORE AVOIDED THIS TOO. Ron Moore got rid of "Athena." WHY? ? He got rid of Cassiopia? WHY? ? Ron Moore turned "Starbuck" into an "Ellen DeGeneres Lesbo." WHY? ? He lopped off Boomer's "Twig & Berries" also. WHY? ? The other things that I think are SIMPLE to deal with as a writer, but Ron Moore COULDN't HANDLE, he also got rid of:
1) The "Imperious Leader." 2) "Count Iblis." 3) Queen Lotay (Head Ovion) 4) The "Android Sisters." 5) "Muffit - The Dagget" 6) The "Cylons" -(Sorry, some NYMPHO in a red cocktail dress IS NOT A "CYLON") 7) Bojay
Sheba
How about the COOL HARDWARE from the "REAL 1978 GALACTICA SERIES" that Ron Moore just tossed aside as if they weren't iconic designs?
1) The legendary design of the "Battlestar Galactica" herself? 2) The "Landrams?" 3) The "Power Sleds?" 4) The "Cylon Basestars?" 5) The "Laser Guns?" 6) The "Languatrons?" 7) The "Laser Boles?"
The "Galactica Bridge Set" (Core Command)?
I can't even see Ronald D. Moore writing a "Spec Script" for a "Galactica" continuation production. Even with a simple assignment like this, we get into the EXACT SAME PROBLEMS that PLAGUE Ronald D. Moore as a writer. Professionally, he was trained and interned as a "STAR TREK WRITER." In the process, "BATTLESTAR GALACTICA NEVER GOT REVIVED." I don't care what the ARMY of Universal executives/Ron Moore fans say or claim:
NOT ONE RECOGNIZABLE ELEMENT OF WHAT WE KNOW TO BE "BATTLESTAR GALACTICA" SHOWED UP IN RON MOORE'S PRODUCTION.
WE GOT ALOT OF WARMED OVER "STAR TREK CRAP" INSTEAD.
Some of these UNIVERSAL EXECUTIVE/RON MOORE FANS have claimed that Moore's production is not "Star Trek" because it is alot darker than "Star Trek." I guess these UNIVERSAL EXECUTIVE/RON MOORE FANS missed the Ron Moore interview where he BLATANTLY ADMITTED that he wanted to do a "DARKER VERSION OF STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE." As time goes on, these same UNIVERSAL EXECUTIVE/RON MOORE FANS are IGNORING the fact that Moore is GRADUALLY ADMITTING MORE AND MORE of how "STAR TREK INSPIRED HIS PRODUCTION."
SOMETHING THAT I HAVE BEEN SAYING SINCE DAY ONE.
SOMEWHERE ALONG THE WAY DURING THE GENESIS OF THIS "RON MOORE WRITTEN/SKY ONE FINANCED PIECE OF SHIT," " BATTLESTAR GALACTICA" NEVER GOT REVIVED.
DO I WANT RON MOORE NEAR A CONTINUATION PRODUCTION OF "BATTLESTAR GALACTICA?" SINCE HE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT THE HELL "BATTLESTAR GALACTICA" IS:
HELL, NO
