As a fan of the "REAL 1978 GALACTICA SERIES", I don't appreciate the marketing department of Sci-Fi Channel calling the 1978 series "cheesy crap." I also don't appreciate the marketing department of Sci-Fi Channel telling TV Guide to tell its readers that the "REAL 1978 GALACTICA SERIES" is cheesy crap. Sci-Fi Channel has stepped way beyond the appropriate boundaries of even guerrilla marketing in their promotion of Ronald D. Moore's "CRAP FEST." This is all out BRAINWASHING that the Sci-Fi Channel is attempting to engage in.
Their "DISGUSTING, GUERRILLA MARKETING CAMPAIGN" is also reaching adults, and adults don't need the Sci-Fi Channel thinking for them. Adults can decide for themselves whether or not the "REAL 1978 GALACTICA SERIES" should be discarded from everyone's hearts and memories for Ron Moore's "CRAP FEST"; which Sci-Fi Channel is HELL BENT DETERMINED to drill into the thoughts of the general public as being "much better for them" than the "REAL 1978 GALACTICA SERIES."
CRITICIZING AND SLAMMING the "REAL 1978 GALACTICA SERIES" during the promotion of Ron Moore's "CRAP FEST" (by Sci-Fi Channel) is one of the many reasons why this board of mine exists in the first place. And it is also the reason why the Sci-Fi Channel was begging and asking for TROUBLE from day one when they greenlit this DISASTER of Ron Moore's.
Contrary to what the Sci-Fi Channel is trying to BRAINWASH the public into believing:
1) Ron Moore's "CRAP FEST" IS NOT a better production than the "REAL 1978 GALACTICA SERIES."
2) Ron Moore's "CRAP FEST" SHOULD NOT be considered a suitable replacement for the "REAL 1978 GALACTICA SERIES", SHOULD NOT be considered a worthy heir to the "REAL 1978 GALACTICA SERIES", SHOULD NOT be considered a "Galactica" production at all as IT IS REALLY "STAR TREK", and certainly IS NOT worthy to have the title "Battlestar Galactica."
3) The "REAL 1978 GALACTICA SERIES" is not any less relevant than it was 27 years ago simply because it does not address the STUPID ASS ISSUES that Ron Moore finds so important. If these issues of Ron Moore are so damn important to him, he can watch the 11:00 P.M. newscasts and keep this CRAP away from entertainment television.
4) The "REAL 1978 GALACTICA SERIES" should not be stricken from the hearts of the fans who love it simply because Sci-Fi Channel HAS A PERSONAL VENDETTA against this production. If Universal Studios/Sci-Fi Channel has such a problem with the "REAL 1978 GALACTICA SERIES:"
THEN SELL THE DAMN COPYRIGHT TO SOMEONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO MANAGE IT.
Then, we won't have to deal with Universal Studios BULLSHIT anymore, we won't have to deal with Sci-Fi Channel's BULLSHIT anymore, and we won't have to deal with Ronald D. Moore's BULLSHIT anymore.
If Sci-Fi Channel wants to advertise this BULLSHIT PRODUCTION of Ronald D. Moore's, fine. But spare me the "PERSONAL VENDETTA MARKETING BULLSHIT" against the "REAL 1978 GALACTICA SERIES" that Sci-Fi Channel is engaging in.
