Topic: Will DISHONESTY and CORRUPTION Get Ronald D. Moore's Series Renewed? (Read 307 times)

If Ronald D. Moore's series got renewed for a "Second Half/First Season", it wouldn't surprise me at this point. I know the realities of how the Universal/Sci-Fi Channel corporation functions as an entity. I know how DISHONEST they can be. I know how CORRUPT they can be. Alot more figures into Ronald D. Moore's production than a simple "Oh, the ratings are low, lets cancel it" scenario. What goes on behind the scenes of Ronald D. Moore's production is ALOT MORE COMPLICATED THAN THAT. The Universal/Sci-Fi Channel corporation WANTS THIS SERIES RENEWED BADLY for additional episodes. AND I mean BADLY. So much so, that they are willing to OVERLOOK the REALITY of the ACTUAL RATINGS NUMBERS (SEWER DWELLER DISMAL); and throw all "dollars and cents sensibility" to the wolves in order to CRAP OUT additional episodes.
The POLITICS behind Ronald D. Moore's production are STAGGERING. Dwarfing all other movie and tv productions (COMBINED) dating back to the invention of Hollywood. As far as what I can decipher, and WHAT I KNOW; this is the "MULTIPLE POLITICAL AGENDA" tied into Ronald D. Moore's production:
1) Personal favors between Ronald D. Moore, Michael Piller, and higher-ups within Universal/Sci-Fi Channel.
2) If Ronald D. Moore's series does not get renewed, the manner (AND ONLY MANNER) in which the Universal/Sci-Fi Channel corporation wants to use the "Galactica" brand name will TERMINATE, thus JEOPARDIZING ONCE AGAIN; Universal's ownership of the "Galactica" brand name.
3) A good 50% of this production is tied into Bonnie Hammer's HATRED, ANIMOSITY, and RESENTMENT of not only the "Galactica" fanbase, but also the "REAL 1978 GALACTICA SERIES." If Ronald D. Moore's production does not get renewed for additional episodes, Bonnie Hammer WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE TO EXPRESS HER HATRED TOWARDS THE "GALACTICA" FANBASE. Needless to say, because of this; Bonnie Hammer and her ON-LINE MARKETING MINIONS have been WORKING THEIR ASSES OFF on the Internet trying to create the false impression that this production is a success.
There has been NOTHING HONEST about what the on-line marketers, Universal executives, Koenigrules, Michael Hinman, Stallion_Cornell, and Larocque6689 have been doing in trying to RAM THIS PRODUCTION DOWN THE PUBLIC'S THROAT. With so many MULTIPLE POLITICAL AGENDAS riding on this production getting renewed, expect its renewal (if it happens) to have occurred via DISHONEST MEANS. The ratings themselves HAVE NOT BEEN STRONG ENOUGH to get Ronald D. Moore's production renewed. On endless ratings charts, Ronald D. Moore's production doesn't even crack the top 40.
Apparently, ALL OF THESE POLITICAL AGENDAS are justification in themselves for the Universal/Sci-Fi Channel corporation to try and keep Ronald D. Moore's series going. For some reason, the FINANCIAL REALITIES of the LOW RATINGS NUMBERS are being IGNORED by this corporation. So much so, that I would wager to guess that the Universal/Sci-Fi Channel corporation IS WILLING to drop themselves into FINANCIAL RUIN by greenlighting additional episodes of a FAILED TELEVISION SERIES.
