Life could be this beautiful without NBC-TV in it.

The cancellation of "Star Trek: Enterprise" was a mercy killing. Even if this series had been getting decent ratings, it should have been cancelled anyway due to a staggering lack of imagination. There is only a handful of producers and writers manufacturing Science Fiction television these days, and they are all former "Star Trek" staff writers. Paramount Pictures killed its own "Star Trek" franchise by refusing to FIRE Rick Berman and his staff, and refusing to bring in fresh blood to revitalize the property. With Paramount Pictures consent, Rick Berman & Co. were REHASHING old "Star Trek" ideas dating back to 1987. You cannot keep a series fresh and new by REHASHING old REHASHES going back two decades.
In the case of Universal Studios/Sci-Fi Channel, they are doing the EXACT SAME THING that Paramount Pictures and Rick Berman were doing. REHASHING old "Star Trek" ideas for their "BattleCrap: Galactica" series. The "Suits" within these studios have no problem falling back on BAD HABITS, and as far as the "Suits" are concerned; any new Science Fiction television series means that the REHASHING of old "Star Trek" ideas will commence. Ronald D. Moore has FRONT LOADED his "BattleCrap: Galactica" series with so many REHASHED "Star Trek" ideas, that any similarity his series has to "Star Trek" is purely INTENTIONAL.
It is time for Science Fiction television to DIE. Mainly because, the only two studios who have been providing it (Paramount Pictures, Universal/Sci-Fi Channel) are hell bent determined that Science Fiction television in all of its forms will consist of nothing but REHASHED "Star Trek" ideas. It is necessary for ANOTHER MERCY KILLING of a Science Fiction television series. And that series is Ronald D. Moore's "BattleCrap: Galactica" series. Instead of reviving "Battlestar Galactica", Ronald D. Moore has ONCE AGAIN, given viewers nothing more than the further adventures of another FEDERATION STARSHIP in a THINLY DISGUISED "Star Trek" universe.
Paramount Pictures, Universal/Sci-Fi Channel, and all of the former "Star Trek" staff writers working right now should be BANNED & BLACKLISTED from ever producing another foot of Science Fiction television on celluloid. If all they are capable of doing is REHASHING old REHASHES of ANCIENT "Star Trek" ideas, it is time for the genre to DIE.
Paramount Pictures has thrown in the towel with "Star Trek: Enterprise", and Universal/Sci-Fi Channel should do the same with their "BattleCrap: Galactica" series. The cancellation of Ronald D. Moore's CRAP FEST is a MERCY KILLING long overdue.....
