Life could be this beautiful without NBC-TV in it.

The reasons why Ronald D. Moore's production has such a distant, sociopathic, and cold feel to it (aside from the fact that it is poorly produced and poorly written) are vast and numerous. The main reason why however, is that Ronald D. Moore's production really isn't a television program. It is an endless series of political agendas disguised as a television program. This is the reason why Ronald D. Moore's production hasn't gone over as well with the public as Universal/Sci-Fi Channel had hoped. And when will Universal/Sci-Fi Channel stop thinking that political agendas disguised as television programs will go over well with the public? HAVEN'T THEY LEARNED THEIR LESSON, YET?
In the dollars and cents world of Hollywood, the Universal/Sci-Fi Channel corporation has been playing a dangerous game of "Russian Roulette" within their own corporation. It is not good business sense to disguise political agendas as a television program. If you do, the general public is not going to be entertained by what you put on the air; and they will also be wondering what the hell you have put on the air. The general public opinion of Ronald D. Moore's production thus far has been, "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?".....Referring not only to the SCIZOPHRENIC NATURE of Ronald D. Moore's production (part "Star Trek", part "Blade Runner", and everything else Ron Moore can throw in), but also the production crew's "Evident Novice-ness" in being unable to craft good drama for the masses, or express any sort of imagination in the visualization of this production.
The public has grown tired of political agendas disguised as television programming, and has grown tired of political agendas showing up on television screens. Ronald D. Moore's production is a "Paint By The Numbers Political Agenda", and its components can be identified as follows:
1) Through a series of on-line posts by Michael Faries, it was pretty much concluded that Ronald D. Moore's production got on the air by:
a) Who Ronald D. Moore knew within Universal Studios/Sci-Fi Channel (Michael Piller).
b) Threats being made when Moore's script was going to be ghost written (by Universal) into a continuation.
c) The visual look of Moore's production resulted from Michael Joyce's HATRED of the "REAL 1978 GALACTICA" series.
d) The reimagining fit right in with Universal's HATRED of the "REAL 1978 GALACTICA" series.
e) Universal's ENVY of the "Star Trek" property creeping in with each passing day with a gradual morphing of Moore's production into a LITERAL CLONE of a "Rick Berman 'Star Trek' Series.'"
The same complaints have been voiced again and again regarding Moore's production. That it is NOT entertaining. NOT fun. The characters are UNAPPEALING. the writing is "STAR TREK" REPETITIVE. Ronald D. Moore REPEATEDLY SWIPING IDEAS from not only "Star Trek", but from every other Space/Fantasy production going back a good 20 years. As if the evidence continually mounting against Ronald D. Moore can't be any more DAMNING, the only thing Ronald D. Moore has retained from "Battlestar Galactica" for his series, is the title itself. This has created a "CREEPY INCOMPATIBILITY" between the ACTUAL CONTENT of Ronald D. Moore's series, and the title "Battlestar Galactica."
Ronald D. Moore's series LOOKS, FEELS, and SMELLS like a GIANT POLITICAL AGENDA. His production was not designed to entertain an audience, or to even to sell soap. Indeed, the literary and visual unattractiveness (and its endless similarities to other productions that have come before) of Moore's production has the immediate effect of DRIVING AWAY VIEWERS instead of attracting them. Indeed, this production was not designed to attract viewers in any way, shape, or form. POLITICAL AGENDAS ARE BEING SATISFIED HOWEVER, AREN'T THEY?
