Life could be this beautiful without NBC-TV in it.

At what point did Universal executives put their "Shit Blinders" on? Was it at the point when Ronald D. Moore was pitching his CRAP FEST to them? Was it at the point when Universal executives began seeing the "dailies?" Was it at the point when it became painfully apparent that Ronald D. Moore was RIPPING OFF every prior Science Fiction television production (and movie) under the Sun for his CRAP FEST?
One thing is painfully certain. Universal Studios/Sci-Fi Channel has blown a shit load of money on a television production that has turned out to be not any better produced (or written) than your average sitcom. All of this money has been blown on a HACK producer/writer (Ronald D. Moore) who has turned out to be INFINITELY SMALLER than his publicity machine. As a writer, Ronald D. Moore ranks right down there with any staff writer from "The Facts Of Life" - starring Charlotte Rae. And we all know how badly written that sitcom was, don't we?
After wasting my time watching way too many hours of what Ronald D. Moore has the nerve to call "Quality Television", I have found myself not being anymore entertained than watching an episode of "Sabrina - The Teenage Witch", any of the "Black" sitcoms on the WB, or God forbid - a "Brady Bunch" marathon on TV Land. Quite frankly, there is a secret to watching Ronald D. Moore's CRAP FEST, and emerging from the experience with your sanity intact. Just assume that Moore's production is a SITCOM. And the only thing missing from his production is a LAUGH TRACK. After all, Ronald D. Moore's production is just as POORLY WRITTEN as a sitcom, not anymore memorable than a sitcom, has the same RIDICULOUS situations and characters as a sitcom.
A LAUGH TRACK would have saved Ronald D. Moore's production. If there was a LAUGH TRACK present when we saw the FLABBY ARMS of Edward James Olmos, if there was a LAUGH TRACK present when we saw the old wall clock ticking on the wall in a galaxy that SUPPOSEDLY had nothing to do with Earth, if there was a LAUGH TRACK present when Tricia Helfer and Katee Sackhoff were TRYING to act and FAILED MISERABLY, if there was a LAUGH TRACK present when Ronald D. Moore was trying to pass off "Six" as not being a CLONE of "Seven of Nine", if there was a LAUGH TRACK present during the OPENING TITLE SEQUENCE of Moore's production,....then maybe...just maybe....Ronald D. Moore's production would have been easier to swallow.
Ronald D. Moore strives for "grim faced drama", but always achieves "embarrassing comedy" instead. His production is about as far removed from a legitimate (taken seriously) drama as you can get. His characters are so far removed from being "real people", the only category left to put them under is "Sitcom Cretins." The NOVICENESS of Moore's production quakes and quivers underneath Moore's EGO. NOVICENESS from every standpoint....from producing, to writing, to casting, to hell....even loading the film into the God damn camera....Ronald D. Moore's production makes an episode of "Full House" look like "Shakespeare."
Universal Studios executives SWALLOWED this TURD FEST of a production of Ronald D. Moore's "hook, line, and sinker." I don't know what is more DISGUSTING. The CRAP that saturates every frame of Ronald D. Moore's production, or the INABILITY of Universal Studios executives to recognize it. I can think of about 1,000 more practical uses for the soundstages in Vancouver where Ron Moore is shooting his CRAP on. A nuclear power plant immediately comes to mind, or maybe a "Shit Barn" for horses and pigs.
Would Universal Studios executives be up to the challenge if they actually had to put "Quality Television" on the air? Hell no!! As Ron Moore's production and "Scare Tactics" proves, Universal executives shovel more CRAP than a "Shit Barn" filled with horses and pigs.
