If you want to get as far away from Science Fiction programming as you can possibly get, watch NBC-Universal's "Sci-Fi Channel." The Sci-Fi Channel has been the most tragic example of the "Metro Sexual Technocrats" in Hollywood pushing out the creative wing of broadcasting, and substituting themselves for programmers. "Metro-Sexual Technocrats" of course, know nothing about creativity, Science Fiction, or imagination. "Metro-Sexual Technocrats" only know "dollars & cents", "the bottom line", and the SKEWING of the English language in order to legally justify the ENDLESS COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT going on within the hollow walls of Sci-Fi Channel.
Sci-Fi Channel has been treading on thin ice with viewers for a long time. So much so, that the AUDIENCE EROSION that has been a daily reality for Sci-Fi Channel has resulted in the pathetic network having the most unbelievable MORTALITY RATE of CANCELLED television programs in history. There is a price to be paid for the NBC-Universal corporation DELIBERATELY IGNORING fanbases, and the general public; and THEY ARE PAYING IT. Program after program they put on the air is a DISMAL FAILURE, and despite the best PROPAGANDA EFFORTS of www.Scifi.com/Scifiwire, even the most moderately successful Sci-Fi Channel shows NEVER last more than a season and a half.
Sci-Fi Channel leaves a bad taste in viewers mouths, because Science Fiction is NOWHERE to be found on this network. Oh, the "Metro-Sexual Technocrats" try. They try wrapping their SOAP OPERAS and REALITY SHOWS in superficial "SCIENCE FICTION WRAPPING PAPER", but after mentally removing the MIRAGE of Science Fiction from these Sci-Fi Channel shows (which takes about 1 second), viewers see on Sci-Fi Channel what they see everywhere else on television:
BADLY WRITTEN SOAP OPERAS, BADLY WRITTEN REALITY SHOWS, BADLY WRITTEN B-MOVIES.
Sci-Fi Channel takes the CORRUPT ART of "Metro-Sexual Technocratica", and tries to pass it off as quality programming. Of course, programming isn't quality if it is nothing more than the thousanth variation of everything else being broadcast on television on different networks. Sci-Fi Channel is as far removed from the Science Fiction genre as you can get. Sci-Fi Channel, (in reality, a GENERAL INTEREST BROADCAST NETWORK); takes the already existing CLICHES and FORMULAS that every other broadcast network is comfortable with, REPACKAGES THEM, and tries to DISGUISE THEM as original, Science Fiction programming. This is not the work of visionaries, or groundbreaking programmers. This is the work of "LAZY ASS MONEY MEN" who STUMBLED into the wrong profession at the PUBLIC'S EXPENSE.
Since Universal Studios has owned Sci-Fi Channel (and we are talking almost a decade here), there has been NOTHING worthwhile to watch. The sad consequence of "LAZY ASS MONEY MEN" who don't give a SHIT what they own, and could care less what the actual broadcast content is supposed to be. NBC-Universal/Sci-Fi Channel RAPES and SODOMIZES the television audience on a daily basis with PORNOGRAPHY, TEENAGE PROSTITUTION, FAMILY DYSFUNCTIONALITY, CRAP REALITY SHOWS, and REPUBLICAN COMMUNISM all disguised as Science Fiction programming. NBC-Universal HATES Democracy and figures that RAMMING the COMMUNISTIC IDEALS of the Bush Administration down the PUBLIC'S THROAT via Ronald D. Moore's television series is the best way to do it. NBC-Universal strives to soften and weaken the institution of family in this country, strives to drive God out of people's lives, deliberately fragments the viewing audience so the entire family cannot watch television together. NBC-Universal hates the profession of broadcasting they are in, and instead strives to use it as a platform for FORCING its political views and AGENDAS on the viewing public.
Stripping away the Science Fiction "mirage" of Ronald D. Moore's television program, (aside from it being a "Star Trek" RIP-OFF), we are left with a "Dynasty" or "Dallas" tv series updated for the 1990's which is skewed to accomodate a platform for Ronald D. Moore's adolescent preoccupations with VIOLENT SEXUALITY. A wafer thin layer of "definition designation" separates Ronald D. Moore's television series from a "Pornographic Movie." It's place being just as out of place on the "Sci-Fi Channel" as every other HUNK OF CRAP Bonnie Hammer puts on the air. There is no difference between how a PORNO MOVIE is shot, and Ronald D. Moore's production. Like a PORNO, Moore and company aim the camera, start shooting, and catch the action of two HORNY characters HUMPING one another in a "Star Trek-esque" corridor. The one movie I'm surprised that Ronald D. Moore hasn't RIPPIED OFF yet, is "Galaxy Of Terror"; where a hot young blonde with big boobs is raped by a giant worm. Perhaps I shouldn't have said anything, as I may have just provided Ronald D. Moore an idea for his next episode. Although this would have nothing to do with "Battlestar Galactica", (and since Ronald D. Moore has ventured so far into "Star Trek" land, "COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT LAND", and his series at this point has NOTHING to do with "Battlestar Galactica"), it wouldn't stop Ronald D. Moore from incorporating it into his series.
Perhaps the ULTIMATE FAILURE of NBC-Universal's management of "Sci-Fi Channel", is the UTTER CONTEMPT for the very genre and the very audience the title of their channel CLAIMS to represent. NBC-Universal manages "Sci-Fi Channel" like a train wreck obliterated by a nuclear explosion. Whatever is the most convenient for them to put on the air at any given moment (whether it is actually Science Fiction or not) suits them just fine....A CRAPPY MOVIE from the USA Film Vaults, Ronald D. Moore's series, "Scare Tactics." Sci-Fi Channel fills their daily and nightly schedule with MINDLESS FODDER to keep the viewers NUMB until the late night INFOMERCIALS come on. Perhaps this is the ultimate purpose of Ronald D. Moore's series. Its purpose is nothing more than "Air Time Filler" until the next INFOMERCIAL comes on....Keeping the viewers DAZED until the next "Thigh Master" infomercial.....Can this be why the content of Ronald D. Moore's series is so hollow?
