A LOW BUDGET has never stopped Ronald D. Moore from continuing to crank out the CRAPPY SCRIPTS. In fact; the lower the budget Ron Moore has, the WORSE his ideas get as a producer and writer (if that is even possible.) Ronald D. Moore's latest assault on the intelligence of television viewers involves "Invisible Cylons." Yes, you read correctly...."INVISIBLE CYLONS." This is really an ECONOMIC SOLUTION to not having to rebuild the fabulous armor costumes of the Cylons from the "REAL 1978 GALACTICA SERIES", isn't it? Just when you thought it was TACKY ENOUGH for Ronald D. Moore to have SLUTTY ACTRESSES in COCKTAIL DRESSES calling themselves "Cylons", we now have Ronald D. Moore devising an even more ECONOMIC ALTERNATIVE to rebuilding the "Cylon" armor:
INVISIBLE CYLONS, YOU CAN'T SEE THEM
Is this the ultimate COP OUT or what for a television producer and writer? Why rebuild the fabulous "Cylon" armor from the "REAL 1978 GALACTICA SERIES", or why even have "Six" give "Baltar" a DAILY LAP DANCE in her RED COCKTAIL DRESS, when you can just NOT SPEND A DIME and write INVISIBLE "Cylons" instead?
I've heard of LOW BUDGET, but this is RIDICULOUS!! This points to a FUNDAMENTAL FACT that I have been saying all along. That the SCOPE of the "REAL 1978 GALACTICA SERIES" was TOO MUCH for Sci-Fi Channel and Ronald D. Moore to deal with, both in terms of BUDGET and PRODUCTION DESIGN. So, Sci-Fi Channel and Ronald D. Moore SCALED DOWN their production (the production they had the NERVE to call "Battlestar Galactica") to fit the COMFORTABLE PARAMETERS of a "RICK BERMAN 'STAR TREK' PRODUCTION", complete with SOAP OPERA ELEMENTS, INVISIBLE ALIENS THEY COULDN'T AFFORD TO BUILD, etc.
One of the interesting aspects of Ronald D. Moore's production, is that as time goes on, the production becomes MORE AND MORE DISAPPOINTING. "Invisible Cylons", Ronny boy? Was this a BUDGET MANDATE, or your usual LACK OF IMAGINATION KICKING INTO HIGH GEAR? Lets take this one step further, Ronny boy....Lets have Universal/Sci-Fi Channel CANCEL your entire WORTHLESS PRODUCTION, and make it INVISIBLE FOREVER!!!.....Just the "Cylons" being INVISIBLE in your production ISN'T ENOUGH....I want your entire production INVISIBLE to my television screen!!
