MOORE'S TREKKIE STAR: GALACTICA" HAS NOT BEEN CANCELLED YET.....

"VAN HELSING" FAILS AT BOX OFFICE...."THE HULK" FAILS AT BOX OFFICE...."CAT IN THE HAT" FAILS AT BOX OFFICE...."JOSEY & THE PUSSYCATS" FAILS AT BOX OFFICE...."FLINTSONES" FAILS AT BOX OFFICE....."VIVA: ROCK VEGAS" FAILS AT BOX OFFICE...."ROCKY & BULLWINKLE" FAILS AT BOX OFFICE...."HOWARD THE DUCK" FAILS AT BOX OFFICE....."PITCH BLACK" FAILS AT BOX OFFICE....."CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK" FAILS AT BOX OFFICE....."VIRUS" FAILS AT BOX OFFICE.....

WHEN UNIVERSAL STUDIOS CANCELLED ALL OF THE SCIENCE FICTION PROGRAMS ON "SCI-FI CHANNEL" AND REPLACED THEM WITH NON-SCIENCE FICTION PROGRAMMING, THEY NEGLECTED TO CHANGE THE NAME OF THE NETWORK TO SOMETHING MORE FITTING. "THE HORROR CHANNEL", "THE USA NETWORK FILM VAULT CHANNEL", "THE INFOMERCIAL NETWORK", "THE HORROR/ACTION CHANNEL", OR "THE COMMERCIAL BROADCAST NETWORK" WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE APPROPRIATE TITLES.

UNIVERSAL STUDIOS TRACK RECORD WITH FANTASY MOVIES ISN'T MUCH BETTER. UNIVERSAL STUDIOS USUALLY RUNS INTO PROBLEMS WHEN THEY TRY TO MAKE LIVE ACTION MOVIES BASED ON COMIC BOOK CHARACTERS. THE "HULK" BORED AUDIENCES TO DEATH BARELY 10 MINUTES INTO THE MOVIE.....TURNING "VAN HELSING" INTO A SUPERNATURAL "RAMBO" WAS TOO RIDICULOUS FOR WORDS....."CAT IN THE HAT" PROVED THAT 5 YEAR OLD KIDS WEREN'T READY FOR "SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE" HUMOR......"JOSEY AND THE PUSSYCATS" WAS NOTHING MORE THAN A "CHARLIE'S ANGELS" RETREAD BASED ON A 1970 CARTOON THAT NO ONE REMEMBERED......THE "FLINTSTONES" MOVIES PROVED THAT REBUILDING "BEDROCK" ON A STUDIO BACKLOT WASN'T ENOUGH TO DRAW IN THE FANS OF THE CARTOON.....SOME PROPERTIES SHOULD BE LEFT IN CARTOON FORM, WHICH "ROCKY & BULLWINKLE" PROVED......"HOWARD THE DUCK" WAS GEORGE LUCAS'S FIRST CAREER FLOP. HOW FITTING THAT LUCAS CHOSE UNIVERSAL STUDIOS FOR THAT MOMENTOUS OCCASION......"PITCH BLACK" WAS "PITCH DULL"....."CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK" DISAPPEARED FROM THEATERS FASTER THAN "FINAL FANTASY-THE SPIRITS WITHIN"......AND "VIRUS" PROVED THAT WHEN UNIVERSAL STUDIOS MADE A MOVIE FOR THE SUMMER OF 1999, NO ONE CAME AND WENT TO THE BEACH INSTEAD......

THE MANAGEMENT OF "UNIVERSAL STUDIOS/SCI-FI CHANNEL" IS AN OPENLY HOSTILE REGIME TOWARDS THE VIEWING PUBLIC, SCIENCE FICTION PROGRAMMING, AND THE "BATTLESTAR GALACTICA" COPYRIGHT. THE ENDLESS GRAVEYARD OF CANCELLED TELEVISION SHOWS ON "SCI-FI CHANNEL" AS WELL AS UNIVERSAL STUDIOS ENDLESS BOX OFFICE FAILURES INDICATES THAT THIS IS A CORPORATION THAT DELIBERATELY LOST ITS WAY IN MAKING RATIONAL BUSINESS DECISIONS. ONE CAN ALWAYS HOPE FOR MIRACLES, AND THE PERMANENT FINANCIAL DOWNFALL OF "UNIVERSAL STUDIOS/SCI-FI CHANNEL" IS A DREAM SHARED BY MANY.

The "Spin" Keeps Changing Directions From Ronald D. Moore's Cast & Crew
« on: March 11, 2005, 06:17:06 PM »

The "Spin" coming out of Ronald D. Moore's camp has been a non-stop roller coaster ride of twists and turns. Members of Moore's cast and crew have suddenly and abruptly changed their positions and opinions in public statements, with no rhyme or reason. This merely reflects the ongoing and never ending INSTABILITY of Ronald D. Moore's production.

When this SHIT HOLE of a production first began, Ronald D. Moore and his camp were quite COCKY in the various interviews they were giving. Their opinions were VERY CLEAR:

"The 1978 Galactica series sucks, the fanbase of the 1978 Galactica series is unimportant and WILL BE IGNORED,
and we will do WHATEVER THE HELL WE WANT TO DO whether the fanbase of the 1978 Galactica series likes
               it or not."

Well, the UNPLEASANT REALITIES of the television business are gradually taking a toll on Ronald D. Moore and his crew. Unimpressive Nielson ratings, endless criticism from the public, and the TOTAL REJECTION of Ronald D. Moore's production by the fanbase of the "REAL 1978 GALACTICA SERIES" has been gradually knocking down that COCKY ATTITUDE of Ronald D. Moore and his camp,.... BRICK BY BRICK. So much so, that certain members of Moore's camp have changed their tune to:

"Well gee whiz, what can we do to make the fanbase of the "REAL 1978 GALACTICA SERIES" happy?"

                                                                     -TOO LATE, SUCKERS!!

I don't know what happened to the SUPPOSED EFFECTIVENESS of Ronald D. Moore's PUBLICITY MACHINE, but that sucker has been about as effective in guaranteeing the future of Ronald D. Moore's production as a DEAD DOG. I think what we are finally seeing, is the OFFICIAL END of Ronald D. Moore's PUBLICITY MACHINE. And Ronald D. Moore, as well as his cast & crew, KNOW IT. They have finally reached the point where they must RISE OR FALL on the strengths or weaknesses of what they have actually been producing for television. And what they have been actually producing is....SUBSTANDARD DREK. In short, REALITY is finally setting in for Ronald D. Moore and his cast & crew.

As a result, what are we seeing now? Ronald D. Moore and his cast & crew are LASHING OUT in a thousand different directions. His cast and crew have FRACTIONED OFF into mini camps with personal agendas. David Eick is trying to make a LAST DITCH EFFORT of playing "Kissy Face" with the fanbase of the "REAL 1978 GALACTICA SERIES." Katee Sackhoff is going in the opposite direction and ATTACKING the fanbase of the "REAL 1978 GALACTICA SERIES." There is a DARK CLOUD finally hanging over Ronald D. Moore's production, and it is spelled "DOOM." I have even had a few delightful E-Mails attacking me for what I have been saying on my board. TOUGH SHIT!!

The BIGGEST MISTAKE Sci-Fi Channel, Ronald D. Moore, and the cast & crew made when going into this project, was thinking that they could navigate the dangerous landscape of the television business, without the support of the fanbase of the "REAL 1978 GALACTICA SERIES." Now, THEY NEED US!!! Sci-Fi Channel WON'T ADMIT IT, David Eick HAS ADMITTED IT, and Katee Sackhoff is in DENIAL!! Now, all of these PIN HEADS running in a thousand different directions, are scrambling to try and figure out how to save their CRAPPY ASS SHOW!!

Ronald D. Moore's PUBLICITY MACHINE has FINALLY IMPLODED!! Oh, we'll keep getting the ENDLESS press releases from www.Scifi.com/Scifiwire claiming multiple season pick-ups, but there is only so far that even www.Scifi.com/Scifiwire can take a LIE.
The question now is:

"At what point during the SUPPOSED 20 episode order will Ronald D. Moore's series GET CANCELLED?"

Personally, I find it hard to swallow that in an era where television programs are ordered one episode at a time, Ronald D. Moore's CRAP FEST was given a BULK ORDER of 20 episodes. This, in light of the SHAKY RATINGS Moore's production has been getting?

Ronald D. Moore and his camp have said everything in the world to try and justify the "less than stellar" performance (ratings wise) of this production. They have retaliated and BLAMED the fanbase of the "Real 1978 GALACTICA SERIES" for not giving the series "a chance." They have ACCUSED those who don't like the show of "not being Science Fiction fans." They have even ACCUSED the "REAL 1978 GALACTICA SERIES" of lingering in people's memories for too long!! How dreadful (for them!!)

Ronald D. Moore's production was ONE LONG POLITICAL AGENDA disguised as a television show that sooner or later would become a victim of its own VINDICTIVE NATURE. That time has come. I don't give a FLYING RATS ASS what David Eick or Ronald D. Moore say in interviews. I don't give a FLYING RATS ASS what this cast & crew say in interviews. I take comfort in knowing that this CRAPPY ASS PRODUCTION in on its DEATH BED. As a result, we won't have these IRRITATING PEOPLE BABBLING in interviews ANYMORE, and WASTING valuable Internet space.  Kiss
