Life could be this beautiful without NBC-TV in it.

It is a schedule as hollow and empty as any line-up of Saturday morning cartoons from the 1970's. Bonnie Hammer and her Sci-Fi Channel subscribe to the lowest common denominator of corporate banality and crap it out of their rear ends. Where does one begin when SLAMMING every scheduling decision that Sci-Fi Channel makes? Do we begin late at night, where the "Infomercials" involving Ron Popiell's "Digitized Turkey Roaster" makes for more stimulating television than anything Bonnie Hammer has put on the air? Perhaps we should begin by SLAMMING Bonnie Hammer's "Saturday Night Movies", where the "Hammer Wench" is slowly making her way through the animal kingdom and endowing them with mutated abilites far beyond those of mortal men. Somehow, that isn't a good enough starting point. Perhaps an excursion into Bonnie Hammer's mid-day and noon schedule, where the FEW classic reruns the "Hammer Wench" does have of Science Fiction tv series, she HACKS them to bits for commercial breaks. No, beginning a discussion of Bonnie Hammer's FAILURE as a broadcaster, the starting point must be Ronald D. Moore's television series.
Ronald D. Moore's "Crappy Star: Plagiarism" TV series is corporate politics RUN AMOK. The sad result of misguided, statistical data sheets and marketing surveys dictating the VACCUOUS and HOLLOW content of Ronald D. Moore's series. 75% "Star Trek", .0000000001% "Battlestar Galactica" (with the "Galactica" brand name upping the ante to .0000000002%), and 25% "Species", "The Thing", "Invasion Of The Body Snatchers", "Space: Above & Beyond", and anything else Ronald D. Moore "popped" into his DVD player for STATISTICAL & DEMOGRAPHIC INSPIRATION, Ronald D. Moore's television series is the first VIEWER UNFRIENDLY production Hollywood ever regurgitated out of its anus.
Somewhere in between the decision making process and post-production, what the "viewers actually wanted to see" got SHOVELED underneath Bonnie Hammer's "Broom Stick Recharger", in order to CRAP TOGETHER a television production that fulfills every "ANTI-GALACTICA ORGASM" of Universal/Sci-Fi Channel executives. All of the FAILINGS of the decision making process in Hollywood are manifested in Ronald D. Moore's production:
1) The USUAL CONTEMPT for the television audience.
2) The USUAL UNDERESTIMATION of the television viewer's INTELLIGENCE.
3) The BLIND NAIVETE of the CORPORATE IDIOCY involved here in assuming that that viewing audience would not notice everything BLATANTLY FAMILIAR in Ronald D. Moore's production. I like everyone else in the viewing audience have a real problem with a television production that is nothing more than a "Flea Market Hodgepodge" of a thousand productions that have already come before.
The Universal/Sci-Fi Channel corporation makes television programming by themselves, FOR THEMSELVES. Though Ronald D. Moore's production is NOT viewer friendly, IT IS "Universal executive friendly." The Universal executives LOVE this show!! So much so, that they are keeping this CRAP on the air DESPITE failing ratings. I would love to see the ALPHABETIZED LIST OF POLITICAL AGENDAS (no doubt 5000 pages thick) that Universal/Sci-Fi Channel IS SATISFYING with this production.
In the process, the television viewers GOT NOTHING to watch in the deal. Universal/Sci-Fi Channel greenlit this HUNK OF CRAP to make themselves happy. Adding salt to the television viewers wounds, Universal/Sci-Fi Channel then turns around and tries to RAM THIS CRAP down the viewer's THROATS. So, although Universal/Sci-Fi Channel DOESN"T GIVE A CRAP about what the television viewers want to see, they still try to PETITION for the SERVICES of these same television viewers THEY BLEW OFF. Such IDIOCY and CORPORATE NAIVETE at the HIGHEST LEVELS OF RECKLESS MANAGEMENT within Universal/Sci-Fi Channel!!
The Universal/Sci-Fi Channel has a FLAIR for throwing INAPPROPRIATE titles on what they own. Their cable channel is titled "Sci-Fi Channel", YET IT IS NOT A SCIENCE FICTION CHANNEL. Ronald D. Moore's series is titled "Battlestar Galactica", YET IT IS NOT "BATTLESTAR GALACTICA."
Universal/Sci-Fi Channel OFFERS NOTHING to television viewers, because their business is SO SATURATED in IRRATIONAL POLITICS, any potential entertainment value their tv shows might have, gets SUCKED DRY in the POLITICAL PROCESS. POLITICS and ONLY POLITICS DICTATES what gets on the Sci-Fi Channel airwaves.
