Life could be this beautiful without NBC-TV in it.

For your average, LOW BUDGET, Sci-Fi Channel production (s); Ron Moore's mini series and 13 episode series seems to have LARGE NUMBERS of EGOS and REPUTATIONS tied to its success or failure. FOOLISH, FOOLISH PEOPLE!! It would be the same thing as putting your hopes and dreams into one of the other FORGETTABLE Sci-Fi Channel productions, such as "FRANKENFISH", "EPOCH", or "WILLIAM SHATNER'S FULL MOON FRIGHT NIGHT." Or, how about allowing your ego and reputation to ride on the two episode run (before CANCELLATION) of Sci-Fi Channel's "SCIOGRAPHY" embarrassment?
Ronald D. Moore and Bonnie Hammer should be EMBARRASSED over the mini series and 13 episode series. These productions are your typically POORLY WRITTEN, CLICHE RIDDEN, BARGAIN BASEMENT Sci-Fi Channel productions; yet Moore and Hammer BRAG about these PILES OF GARBAGE as if they are the latest projects by Steven Spielberg. Not only that, but Moore and Hammer also insult the "Galactica" fanbase on a routine basis as if Moore's HUNK OF GARBAGE is good enough to survive in today's television climate without the "Galactica" fanbase, or anyone else for that matter. Moore and Hammer's attitude seems to be:
Moore & Hammer: "We're brilliant, we're wonderful, we created a winning project with this 'STAR TREK CLONE' with the 'Galactica' label slapped on it; and we don't need such mundane things as the 'Galactica' fanbase or any other viewers supporting it. Therefore, we will continue to INSULT the general public and the 'Galactica' fanbase in interviews because after all, our own ARROGANCE and SNOBBERY alone will keep this 'STAR TREK CLONE' on the air for multiple seasons.'"
FOOLISH, FOOLISH PEOPLE!!!
Of all of the Sci-Fi Channel productions that have come and gone over the years, this one is obviously THE MOST POLITICAL. There seems to be A GREAT DEAL of EGOS, REPUTATIONS, PERSONAL AGENDAS, CORPORATE AGENDAS, the VERY FUTURE OF SCI-FI CHANNEL ITSELF tied up in this production. Someone explain to me the logic behind STACKING ALL OF THIS WEIGHT on top of a production that is NO MORE NOTABLE than any other Sci-Fi Channel production. That is JUST AS FORGETTABLE as any other Sci-Fi Channel production. That COST NO MORE OR LESS than any other Sci-Fi Channel production. A production quite frankly, that is not any better written than "FRANKENFISH."
Universal/Sci-Fi Channel has redefined ECCENTRICITY for the 21st Century. What Universal/Sci-Fi Channel views as a masterpiece would be seen as a HUNK OF GARGAGE in the eyes of "20th Century Fox", "United Artists", "New Line Cinema", or "Columbia Tri-Star." Universal/Sci-Fi Channel definitely has TUNNEL VISION in their perceptions of their shows. They are the only ones who see the quality in them. Everyone else, such as the "Galactica Fanbase", recognizes Sci-Fi Channel productions for what they really are. Forgetabble, DISPOSABLE, POLITICALLY SATURATED, HUNKS OF GARBAGE designed to make Bonnie Hammer happy at the SAD CONSEQUENCE of not building a viewing audience for Sci-Fi Channel.
Universal/Sci-Fi Channel is so accustomed to LOW RATINGS NUMBERS, that the executives are dancing in the streets that the first episode of Ron Moore's 13 episode series pulled in a disappointing 775,000 viewers. Whatever FLOATS YOUR BOAT, I GUESS. Universal/Sci-Fi Channel is one of the most CURIOUS, and ECCENTRIC corporations in North America. They seem to exist in their own little FANTASY WORLD where LOW RATINGS NUMBERS are celebrated. Where the production of GARBAGE TELEVISION is CHAMPIONED. Where POLITICAL AGENDAS apparently TAKE PRIORITY over such mundane things as trying to attract viewers and advertising dollars. Where deliberately doing the exact opposite of what the public wants to see is apparently a CORPORATE MANDATE. Where Universal executives ANTAGONIZE the public on Internet message boards after making these ECCENTRIC DECISIONS.
If this is the new definition of Corporate America in the 21st Century, I want out.
