Life could be this beautiful without NBC-TV in it.

"Jump The Shark" refers to the situation where a television series, perhaps being on the air for one too many years, resorts to cheap gimmicks in order to try and lure back viewers who got bored with the series after so many years. "Happy Days" did it in 1977 when "Fonzie" jumped a shark on water skis. The term "Jump The Shark" was taken from this very stunt "Happy Days " pulled. Various other tv series have "Jumped The Shark" as well. Usually; when there is a wedding, a birth, (when a tv show which ordinarily does not go out on a location shoot, does go on a location shoot); ludicrous storylines, etc....etc.....etc....that's when a tv show has reached the point of "JUMPING THE SHARK."
Ronald D. Moore "JUMPED THE SHARK" when he was writing his MINI-SERIES!!! Ronald D. Moore is the first (neophyte) television producer in history to "JUMP THE SHARK" before he even went on the air!!! His mini series was filled with so many LUDICROUS and CHEAP GIMMICKS to try and attract viewers, he even OUTDID "Fonzie" jumping that shark on "Happy Days" in 1977....
1) The character of "Six." Ronald D. Moore, mentally UNABLE to get out of "Seven Of Nine" mode.... whipped up this VULGAR CLONE of "Seven Of Nine" in order to TRY and attract teenage boys who stay at home on Friday nights exercising their left and right hands. Moore even thought that this BIMBO would be a suitable replacement for the COOL CYLON ROBOTS from the "REAL 1978 GALACTICA SERIES." Moore thought wrong!!!!
2) Baby killings....Aside from the fact that Ronald D. Moore must be a psychotic pedophile, his judgement as a NEOPHYTE PRODUCER was way off with this GIMMICK as well. Why would Moore honestly think that viewers would tune in to see a cute, little, wittle baby murdered? Ronald D. Moore "JUMPED THE SHARK" better than "Fonzie" with this GIMMICK!!!
3) Pointless Sex....Ronald D. Moore "JUMPED THE SHARK" better than "Fonzie" AGAIN!!! Ronald D. Moore, his ability to engineer a compelling story at the same level as a seven year old fanfic writer, throws SEX into his tv series as a GIMMICK, and as an EASY WAY OUT for being unable to write anything remotely interesting.
4) Characters with PERMANENT FROWNS on their faces!! The EASY WAY OUT when being unable to craft genuinely compelling drama. Again, another GIMMICK!!! Ronald D. Moore's characters and their lack of MULTI-DIMENSIONALITY reflects a NEOPHYTE television producer who also KNOWS NOTHING about what constitutes good television drama.
5) Laura Roslin has cancer. ANOTHER GIMMICK. Boomer may shoot herself in the series finale. ANOTHER GIMMICK. Moore's series is CLICHED SOAP OPERA. The OLDEST GIMMICK in trying to attract viewers.
6) Using the "Battlestar Galactica" brand name in its title. How is this for a CHEAP GIMMICK? With or without the "Galactica" brand name in its title, Ronald D. Moore's series is a HOPELESS MESS of "JUMP THE SHARK" GIMMICKS hoping to attract viewers but DON'T!!!
7) Ronald D. Moore intentionally made Apollo and Starbuck male and female in order to have a COMFORTABLE GIMMICK to fall back on later. The INEVITABLE, SOAP OPERA-esque ROMANCE!!!
Around the corner, YET ANOTHER ROMANCE (GIMMICK)!!! "Baltar" and "Six" are just waiting to HUMP ONE ANOTHER for the sole purpose of LITTERING this production with "MINI SLUT CLONES" of "Six!!!"
9) How about the Universal/Sci-Fi Channel corporation "JUMPING THE SHARK" on the Internet? Universal/Sci-Fi Channel resorted to the SLEAZIEST MARKETING GIMMICKS imaginable in order to attract viewers to Moore's production:
a) Universal executives ARGUING with the general public on bulletin boards if they didn't like Moore's production.
b) The DAILY LIES from www.Scifi.com/Scifiwire.
c) "Galactica" bulletin board moderators (Hello Sandy!! ) being BRAINWASHED by Universal Studios to "Toot" Ronald D. Moore's horn.
d) How about Universal Studios INTERNET ADVERTISED visits to shopping malls across the country to try and attract viewers? DISGUSTING and UTTERLY REPULSIVE!!!
I've mentioned earlier that Ronald D. Moore's production (in its first year) already has the appearance of being tired and worn out. That sort of state television series get in after being on the air for one too many years. This, combined with the fact that Ronald D. Moore "JUMPED THE SHARK" MULTIPLE TIMES in his first year (only year) on the air, makes one wonder if Ronald D. Moore really is qualified to be in the profession that he is in. I already know in my heart that Ronald D. Moore IS NOT QUALIFIED PROFESSIONALLY to be in this sort of work. I think television viewers have responded to this SAD REALITY as well, as Moore's weekly ratings are DROPPING MORE AND MORE. Moore's production doesn't even rank in the top 20 of all cable shows. Before Universal/Sci-Fi Channel CANCELS Ronald D. Moore's HOPELESS MESS, the title of this ABOMINATION should be changed to.....
JUMP THE SHARK!!!!
