Life could be this beautiful without NBC-TV in it.

Sci-Fi Channel executives, never being known for being an "audience friendly lot", have long since warped the Sci-Fi Channel into an outlet for their personal tastes and desires. The overall programming on Sci-Fi Channel is barren, hollow, empty, plagiaristic and litigious for a reason; this is the way Sci-Fi Channel executives like it. Sci-Fi Channel executives also have a fondness for putting NON-SCIENCE FICTION PROGRAMMING on their channel. Sci-Fi Channel executives operate under the mission statement, that if programming is hated by the audience, then it will remain on the air. They will resort to whatever means necessary to make this happen. They will IGNORE SHITTY RATINGS, they will IGNORE CRITICAL SCORN, they will IGNORE THE LAWS OF SUPPLY & DEMAND.
If Ronald D. Moore's production were genuinely loved by the viewing audience, Sci-Fi Channel would have CANCELLED IT BY NOW. Simply because, Sci-Fi Channel executives have always made it a PRIORITY to do the EXACT OPPOSITE OF WHAT THE AUDIENCE WANTS. Since the general opinion of Ronald D. Moore's production has been BAD, Sci-Fi Channel executives realized that they were on to something here. If it's BAD for the audience, it's GOOD for themselves. Indeed, Ronald D. Moore's production has not improved in quality since it first aired. It remains the BADLY WRITTEN, "STAR TREK" RIP-OFF it has always been. Most importantly, for Sci-Fi Channel executives, it pisses off the audience. That in itself is justification enough for Sci-Fi Channel executives to keep Ron Moore's GARBAGE on the air.
Never before in the history of television has a production been so hated, and never before in the history of television have network executives FOUGHT SO HARD to keep such a HATED PRODUCTION on the air. There is nothing in this production for the audience. There is nothing in this production to entertain an audience. Yet, everything in the world is in this production to make Sci-Fi Channel executives happy as hell. It has ZERO entertainment value, it ABUSES the "Battlestar Galactica" brand name, it RIP-OFFS hundreds of movies and tv shows. Most importantly, it PISSES OFF THE AUDIENCE. When Ronald D. Moore's production comes on the air, families and parents have to prevent their children from watching it, and this makes Sci-Fi Channel executives happy as hell. The adults who HATE THIS SHOW also don't watch it, which also makes Sci-Fi Channel executives happy as hell. NO ONE is watching Ronald D. Moore's production, and Sci-Fi Channel executives are HAPPY AS HELL because of it.
Sci-Fi Channel has already lost millions of dollars in misguided investing directed at this HUNK OF CRAP. But, losing millions of dollars is a small price to pay for Sci-Fi Channel executives as long as they know they are pissing off the audience. If they have pissed off the audience, they have satisfied their CORPORATE MISSION STATEMENT.
Bonnie Hammer, being at the helm of this channel for as long as she has, has nothing to show in terms of "schedule building" to justify her long time being there. Ordinarily, an executives long stay at a television network would be characterized by a strong, five night a week schedule of successful, ORIGINAL PROGRAMMING. Bonnie Hammer's LONG STAY at Sci-Fi Channel has only yielded ONE NIGHT A WEEK of MARGINAL, to BELOW AVERAGE PROGRAMMING. Her "Friday Night Block" of original programming consists of three series that wouldn't be missed if they were CANCELLED right now. The rest of her schedule consists of BOX OFFICE DUDS from the "USA Film Vaults" and B-Grade horror movies. This is the extent of Bonnie Hammer's programming talents, leading a basic cable channel to FINANCIAL RUIN.
