Life could be this beautiful without NBC-TV in it.

Ronald D. Moore takes great pride in the fact that the CHEAP STUNTS he pulls on whatever project he is associated with, seems to draw attention to himself. In this regard, Ronald D. Moore is his own worst enemy, as the attention he draws to himself is not favorable, and cannot be looked upon as any demonstration of success. The kind of attention Ronald D. Moore draws to himself does not build up a fanbase, does not increase Nielson ratings, does not generate favorable word of mouth for the projects he works on, and does not lay the foundation for a long and fruitful career in the television industry. Engaging in an endless series of CHEAP STUNTS specifically designed to PISS OFF the moviegoing or tv viewing public, will leave a producer/writer seriously lonely enough to be yearning for the companionship of an audience.
Ronald D. Moore has no choice but to rely on CHEAP STUNTS for whatever project he is working on. He LACKS the talent, experience, and professionalism to seek attention any other way. When Ronald D. Moore killed "Captain Kirk", it was not a vital ingredient to the advancement of the story. "Captain Kirk" could have lived, taking nothing away from the plot of "Star Trek: Generations." If anything, the absurd way Ronald D. Moore bumped off "Captain Kirk" put a serious mark of CREDIBILITY DEFICIENCY into the entire plot of "Star Trek: Generations." This didn't matter to Ronald d. Moore, as his LACK OF TALENT cannot survive in the highly competitive movie and tv industry without such CHEAP STUNTS.
Ronald D. Moore's "Star Crap: Galactica" goes from one CHEAP STUNT to the next. Making "Starbuck" a female, sex saturated episodes that do nothing to advance or enhance the plots, casting Lucy Lawless in some SEX DRENCHED ROLE, thinking that the endless MUMBLINGS of Edward James Olmos is somehow an ingredient for quality television. Ronald D. Moore himself doesn't know what quality television is. If he did, he would have provided it.
The ironic thing is, Ronald D. Moore honestly thinks that one CHEAP STUNT after another is somehow helping his career,....or somehow building up a fanbase,....or somehow increasing ratings,....or somehow leading to boundless merchandising opportunities. Nothing along those lines has happened for Ronald D. Moore. His "Star Crap: Galactica" series is limping along, still fully attached to Sci-Fi Channel's "Marketing/Life Support System", STILL in search of viewers, and any sort of acceptance from the "Galactica" fanbase.
With increasing regularity, Ronald D. Moore is popping up on the Internet, ARGUING with the public, ARGUING with TwoBrained Cylon, ARGUING with the general public over the INEXPLICABLE decisions he makes for "Star Crap: Galactica." Is this how Ronald D. Moore really wants to spend his life? Is this the sort of career Ronald D. Moore really wants to have? The advice I would offer to anyone who just isn't cutting it as a producer/writer, is to either get out of the profession entirely, or seek some occupation "Below The Line." I'm sure there are many TEAMSTER positions Ronald D. Moore would be more suited for. Gaffer, Best Boy, Caterer,....and from there, work his way up to "3rd Assistant Director." If Moore works hard enough, he could get there in about 10 years.
The ratings for "Star Crap: Galactica" SUCK DONKEY BALLS. In no small part due to the fact that NEGATIVE PUBLICITY isn't doing for Ronald D. Moore what he hoped it would. He's drawing attention to himself alright, but for all the wrong reasons. I don't think any producer in Hollywood who could be clinically diagnosed as being "Sane" would welcome the sort of NEGATIVE PUBLICITY that Ronald D. Moore draws to himself. Any rationally minded producer would not want to be in Ronald D. Moore's shoes, as the path Moore is going down guarantees no future employment in Hollywood, and no viewership to watch his pathetic tv show.
Ronald D. Moore shoots himself in the foot again and again, and thinks that the outcome will be good for him and "Star Crap: Galactica." If Ronald D. Moore finds some silver lining in the NEGATIVE PUBLICITY he attracts for himself, I would love to know what it is. After a mini series and 13 one hour segments, I don't see or hear Universal/Sci-Fi Channel executives jumping for joy over the performance of this production. I see them slogging through a swamp of endless vines, not too enthused over the prospects of a supposed second season, or financing any additional segments. If Sci-Fi Channel manages to air five more segments without running to its mother, I'll be surprised.
Ronald D. Moore's "Star Crap: Galactica" is a DREARY MESS of DEPRESSING CHARACTERS, and a not too terribly interesting cliched premise. On top of that, NEGATIVE PUBLICITY accompanies this DEPRESSING PRODUCTION. Out of all of this MISERY, Ronald D. Moore honestly expects to find success, critical accolades, and praise from television viewers? What PLANET is Ronald D. Moore from anyway? What is he trying to do here? Ronald D. Moore must have one of those psyches that is wired in such a way to believe that doing and thinking negative things somehow breeds success and happiness. There is nothing attractive about "Star Crap: Galactica." There is nothing that the mass television audience finds attractive. PERSONAL EGO PROJECTS carry a heavy price, and in Ronald D. Moore's case; only his FATHER and UNIVERSAL EXECUTIVES are watching!! I'd say that's a price TOO HIGH for any television producer to pay!! Especially if Ronald D. Moore wants to have a career in his post-"Star Crap: Galactica" days.
