Life could be this beautiful without NBC-TV in it.

No one will ever know what the true intentions were behind these cast members being chosen to animate these roles, but I'm sure "BLANDNESS" was one of the objectives that both Ronald D. Moore and the casting director were going after. Ronald D. Moore's cast members (collectively and apart) have no personalities, and have no chemistry with one another. Perhaps this was intentional all along, as what sorts of actors would be more appropriate to act out Ronald D. Moore's BLAND and UNINSPIRED scripts, than BLAND ACTORS? Where does this leave Ronald D. Moore's casting director? This is the most blatant example of RECKLESS and UNINSPIRED CASTING in television history, and it happened on the watch of this casting director. What was he/her thinking, anyway? NONE of these cast members have DYNAMIC and DISTINCTIVE personalities. They are all walking examples of current, Hollywood, YOUTH OBSESSED BLANDNESS; with Edward James Olmos and Mary McDonnell incarnating the BLANDNESS for the older generation.
Since Universal Studios/Sci-Fi Channel has all but dried up their BRIBERY FUND in trying to extract anymore FALSE PRAISE from TV Guide and other media outlets, it fell on the cast members and Ronald D. Moore himself to try and craft a television show that would live up to the lofty praise which was BOUGHT FOR THEM in the media. Moore and his cast members have FAILED MISERABLY. What we the viewers have had all along, beginning with the mini series, are cast members who have been STRAIGHT-JACKETED into the "Rick Berman Style Of Star Trek Acting", with no sparking personality traits coming from any of them. Out of the entire cast, it's safe to say that only Edward James Olmos and Mary McDonnell would have any sort of personalities at all, at the end of the day, when the cameras shut off. But of course, even here I'm stretching my hopes a bit, aren't I? Perhaps I'm just trying to be nice because they are the oldest, and got PROFESSIONALLY STUCK in this damn thing.
If there is a multi-colored rainbow in casting BLAND ACTORS in a BLAND TV SHOW with BLAND SCRIPTS, only Ronald D. Moore and David Eick see it.
