Life could be this beautiful without NBC-TV in it.

Ronald D. Moore has set televised Science Fiction back a good 50 years. Moore has made it in vogue to emulate the ZERO PRODUCTION VALUES and ZERO IMAGINATION of "Commander Cody", "Roger Ramjet", "Flash Gordon", and many other LOW BUDGET Science Fiction offerings from the golden age of television, the 1950's. Science fiction programming from the 1950's was a LOW BUDGET affair to say the least. Literally one stage, one set dramas with props and costumes borrowed from the movie studios at the time, Science Fiction programming from the 1950's took advantage of the naivete of viewers at the time by knowing damn well that they wouldn't know any better if a ball of aluminum foil flung across the stage was supposed to be a meteor.
The noviceness and arrogance of Ronald D. Moore, combined with the NEO-CON ASSHOLES at Universal Studios/Sci-Fi Channel, have obliterated the era of high budget, quality Science Fiction programming in television starting with the pioneering efforts of Gene Roddenberry in "Star Trek" in 1966, and lasting on through to Glen A. Larson's "Battlestar Galactica" in 1978; Ronald D. Moore has ushered in a whole new era of ZERO PRODUCTION DESIGN, ZERO ART DIRECTION, ZERO COSTUMING, and ZERO VISUAL EFFECTS in Science Fiction programming which opens MANY NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR DEBATE to REFUTE the claims of programs like GINO asserting themselves as Science Fiction.
GINO's visual appearance INSTANTLY refutes it as Science Fiction. With Ronald D. Moore having made NO ATTEMPT to hide the fact that GINO is nothing more than a "West Wing" drama taking place on present day Earth, the compounding problem of GINO having had NO THOUGHT put into production design, art direction, set design, and costuming has set a dangerous precedent for the future of Science Fiction in television. In short, Ronald D. Moore's LACK OF IMAGINATION has destroyed any future prospects for Science Fiction in television. Ronald D. Moore has LOWERED the visual expectations of Science Fiction television watchers to such a degree with his ZERO PRODUCTION VALUES, that viewers will now accept any HACK like Moore coming along with cast members dressed in present day clothing and claiming his show is Science Fiction. Moore has reduced Science Fiction programming to the one stage plays of the 1950's, where ZERO IMAGINATION was the call of the day. And viewers will accept this.
Is there another dangerous precedent GINO has set? Other would be television producers of the same generation as Ronald D. Moore can simply observe what a SORRY, LAZY ASS Ronald d. Moore has been in executing Science fiction programming, and DO THE EXACT SAME THING Ronald D. Moore has done. No longer is it necessary to have the BRILLIANCE of Jean Pierre-Dorleac in COSTUME DESIGN, the BRILLIANCE of John E. Chilberg II in Art Direction. The BRILLIANCE of John Dykstra in visual effects. Thanks to Ronald D. Moore, all future television producers of Science Fiction programming will be scrambling to get a WAL-MART CHARGE CARD to stock up on cheap clothing for their wardrobe, to rent set pieces from "MONK" for their supposedly futuristic settings, to RENT "HUM-VEES" with CALIFORNIA LICENSE PLATES in order to avoid building futuristic vehicles such as the LANDRAM from the "REAL 1978 GALACTICA SERIES."
Thanks Ronald D. Moore, for DESTROYING QUALITY PRODUCTION DESIGN in Science Fiction programming (You useless pile of donkey dung!!)
