Life could be this beautiful without NBC-TV in it.

The world would have existed just fine without the Ron Moore mini series and 13 episode series. This entire fiasco has proven that when Universal Studios makes a production solely for themselves without taking anyone else into consideration, the days of that production will be numbered on this Earth. Indeed, since day one, Universal Studios/Sci-Fi Channel has had to FEIGN the existence of a SUPPOSED FAN BASE for this production, ARGUE WITH THE PUBLIC ON A DAILY BASIS over this production, FALSIFY RATINGS DATA on Sci-Fi/Wire to give the impression that this production is doing well, and set up a BOGUS WEB SITE (www.Galactica2003.net) to root for this production. All of this for what? So Universal Studios can satisfy a few STUPID, INTERNAL POLITICAL AGENDAS THAT MEAN NOTHING TO THE REST OF THE WORLD. And if Universal Studios personal goals mean nothing to the rest of the world, THEY TRULY ARE UNIMPORTANT.
When a movie studio/corporation HATES A PROPERTY, or has a PERSONAL VENDETTA against that property to the point of refusing to sell it, so they can continue to ABUSE IT; intelligent, sound, and appropriate decisions WILL NEVER BE MADE in the management of that property. The "Battlestar Galactica" brand name is currently owned BY A BUNCH OF IDIOTS who will NEVER make an intelligent, rational, sound, and logical business decision with this property. STUPID DECISIONS will always be made by Universal Studios towards "Battlestar Galactica." In this light, Universal Studios SHOULDN'T HAVE BOTHERED in even green lighting Ron Moore's MESS. Ron Moore's production is the perfect example of a STUPID DECISION being made with the property. With Universal Studios in the middle of HATING "Battlestar Galactica" with every fiber of their being, they are INCAPABLE OF BEHAVING RATIONALLY with the property. Thus, we get Ron Moore's "STAR TREK SEQUEL SERIES" with the "Galactica" brand name attached to it, Universal Studios REPEATEDLY TURNING AWAY Tom DeSanto at every turn each time he approaches them about a continuation production, and merchandising decisions based on the property that wouldn't pass inspection criteria at a flea market.
These are some of the more obvious reasons why Universal Studios shouldn't have bothered green lighting Ron Moore's production:
1) It is a MEAN SPIRITED PRODUCTION. Both cast and crew routinely SLAM the "REAL 1978 'Galactica' Series.'" The public knows this production is nothing more than a MEAN SPIRITED ATTACK on the 1978 series, and the public has responded by IGNORING IT.
2) Ronald D. Moore has serious problems as a scriptwriter. His LACK OF IMAGINATION keeps him GROUNDED in the "Star Trek" universe FOREVER. "Six" was the most obvious SWIPE from "Star Trek." The only ones denying it are Universal Studios executives.
3) Sci-Fi Channel does not have a successful track record of producing popular, long running, or financially successful tv series. Ron Moore's production is NO DIFFERENT. So why bother making this production?
4) Universal/Sci-Fi Channel's profits have not increased with this production? So, why bother making it?
5) This production is currently airing in England, and the production has been no more notable or memorable than a "Fawlty Towers" rerun. Out of 150 million people surfing the Internet every day, maybe 5 people world wide have said something nice about Ron Moore's production. A big impact, huh? And two of those people were in England. Why did you even bother, Universal Studios?
6) When this series premieres in January here in the U.S., people will continue to go about their daily lives and make appointments to MISS Ron Moore's series. I joined a "Lazer Tag" team just to be extra sure THAT I WOULD MISS every single episode of Ron Moore's mess. The team has 20 competitions spread over 20 weeks starting in January, so I'll easily miss all 13 broadcasts of Ron Moore's MESS. Thank God!!
7) Sci-Fi Channel wasted all of this money on a production that will just get cancelled after the third or so broadcast anyway, SO WHY BOTHER PRODUCING IT IN THE FIRST PLACE?
Universal Studios shouldn't have wasted their time producing this MESS, and viewers SHOULDN'T WASTE THEIR TIME WATCHING IT.
