DID UNIVERSAL STUDIOS NOT WANT THE "COLONIAL FAN FORCE" ADS SEEN?
Those of us who have observed Universal Studios BEHAVIOR towards "Battlestar Galactica" for the past 26 years, know damn well that their ECCENTRICITY towards the property can take an infinite number of bizarre forms. It was also hinted at on the Internet a few years back that Universal Studios holds a certain degree of POWER over the print media in this country. One particular journalist was quoted as saying that he would never write an article about the "anti-Galactica conspiracy" at Universal Studios because:
1) His editor would never approve the article for print. 2) His career would be destroyed in the process.
Lo, and behold. The very issue of "Cinescape" magazine that was scheduled to contain the print ad from "Colonial Fan Force" is VERY, VERY LATE getting to the newstands. This is the one and only "Colonial Fan Force" ad advertising a CONTINUATION of the "Battlestar Galactica" tv series from 1978. Now, we all know how Universal Studios feels about the "1978 Battlestar Galactica" series, and how they feel about a continuation production: PURE, RAW HATRED. It is NO SMALL COINCIDENCE that:
1) In the entire decade long printing history of "Cinescape" magazine, the very first issue that is VERY, VERY, LATE reaching newstands JUST HAPPENS TO BE the very issue scheduled to contain the "Colonial Fan Force" ad.
2) This just happens to jibe right in with Universal Studios KNOWN NEGATIVE FEELINGS towards a "Galactica" continuation production.
Just how much POWER (if any) does Universal Studios have over the print media and "Cinescape" magazine? We'll never know for sure unless someone intimately involved with "Cinescape" magazine comes forward.

Cinescape magazine update / as of 12/8/04 :
The latest issue of "Cinescape" magazine still has not reached book stores. I don't need to remind anyone that this was the very issue scheduled to contain the color ads from "Colonial Fan Force." Cinescape claims the magazine is merely filtering its way through their distribution system. I disagree. I believe Universal Studios is behind the latest issue of "Cinescape" magazine not reaching the public domain. I could be wrong, but the very issue scheduled to contain the "CFF" ads being very late is VERY SUSPICIOUS, ISN'T IT? Especially when you take into account that the "Battlestar Galactica" copyright owners are WIDELY KNOWN for HATING the very notion of a "Galactica" continuation production.
www.Cinescape.com also has made NO MENTION of their latest issue being VERY LATE. Do they hope that such an OBVIOUS EVENT will go unnoticed simply if they don't mention it? www.Cinescape.com is also claiming that this issue is available on news stands. www.Cinescape.com needs to get their shit together and come clean on this entire issue. Don't hold your breath, "Cinescape" magazine has turned into another "REALM PRESS."

Enjoying your dirty work, Universal? Did you derail the latest issue of "Cinescape" magazine? If the Fall 2004 issue ever comes out, it will be well past time for the Spring 2005 issue to come out.

O.K., the latest issue has finally reached us. That still doesn't explain the delay, however.

Correction. This issue of "Cinescape" is not available everywhere. Only on the East Coast apparently.
